After Fully Cured (7–28 days)
Apply Waterproofing membranes or coatings to the exterior of the foundation before Backfilling to prevent moisture intrusion.
Foundation Drain: Install Drain to slope water away from the foundation.
Layering and Compaction: Soil is returned in layers (Lifts), usually 6–12 inches thick, and Compacted.
Purpose - Stabilizes the foundation and adjacent structures. Protection: Guards against water damage and erosion.
Restores the site to its final elevation ready for Landscaping.
Improper Backfilling can lead to foundation shifting, cracking, or water infiltration, so it's a critical step in construction.
