Telescopic Material Handlers, often called Telehandlers, play a crucial role on construction jobsites due to their versatility and lifting capabilities.

A Telehandler is a type of lifting machine equipped with a telescopic boom that can extend forward and upward, allowing it to move materials to places that other equipment, like forklifts or cranes, may not reach. It combines the functions of a forklift, crane, and work platform in one piece of equipment.

One of the primary roles of a telehandler is material handling. It can lift, move, and place heavy loads such as pallets of bricks, bundles of rebar, roofing materials, or large tools. The extendable boom allows operators to deliver these materials to elevated or hard-to-reach locations, such as upper floors or over obstacles.

Telehandlers are commonly used for loading and unloading delivery trucks, transporting materials across rough terrain, and placing loads at heights or distances. Because they can be fitted with various attachments—such as forks, buckets, winches, and work platforms—they can adapt to many tasks beyond lifting, including light excavation, personnel lifting, or waste removal.

Their ability to navigate uneven or rugged ground makes them particularly useful on construction sites where other lifting equipment may not be practical. Four-wheel drive, high ground clearance, and large tires help them operate in challenging site conditions.
