Catch Basins are a critical part of modern drainage infrastructure. Commonly used in roads, parking lots, residential developments, airports, and industrial sites. They're designed to manage stormwater runoff, trap debris, and prevent sediment and pollutants from entering the Storm Water and Sewer Systems. Precast means the Basin is manufactured off-site and delivered to the Job Site ready to install.

They play a key role in stormwater management, helping reduce urban flooding, protect water quality, and extend the life of underground piping.

They are made from reinforced concrete, formed in reusable molds. This controlled manufacturing process ensures uniformity in quality and long-term durability. Steel reinforcement is placed inside the molds before concrete is poured to enhance structural integrity.

They come in a variety of standard sizes, ranging from small (2'x2'x2') to large (up to 6'x6'x10' or more), depending on the volume of runoff and system requirements. Custom sizes are also available for specific projects. Typical features include grated tops for water entry, pipe inlets and outlets for drainage connection, and sediment sumps at the bottom to trap solids. 

They are engineered to handle heavy loads, such as those from vehicles on roadways.

As water flows into the Basin, heavier solids like sand, leaves, and trash settle into the sump at the bottom. This prevents clogging and sediment buildup in downstream pipes.

They do, however, require cleanout maintenance.

Some advanced designs include internal screens or baffles to help separate oils, floatables, and finer particles.
