CRANES

BEAMS AND COLUMNS CULVERTS

Tower Cranes Tower cranes are primarily used in the construction of tall buildings and skyscrapers. They feature a tall vertical mast and a long horizontal jib, and are typically fixed in place—anchored either to the ground or the building itself. Tower cranes can lift very heavy loads, often up to 20 tons or more, and are essential for tasks like steel erection and concrete pouring at great heights.

Mobile Cranes Mobile cranes are general-purpose lifting machines known for their flexibility and mobility. These include truck-mounted cranes, which can travel on highways; rough terrain cranes, designed for off-road sites; and all-terrain cranes, which combine both capabilities. Mobile cranes are ideal for projects that require the crane to be moved frequently across the site or between locations.

Crawler Cranes Crawler cranes move on tracks instead of wheels, providing excellent stability and weight distribution on uneven or soft ground. They are capable of lifting extremely heavy loads and are commonly used on large infrastructure projects such as bridges, dams, and power plants. Due to their size, they usually require assembly on-site.

Overhead (Bridge) Cranes Used mainly in industrial settings like factories and warehouses, overhead cranes run on elevated rails attached to the structure of the building. They are used to lift and move heavy materials horizontally along the rails, making them ideal for manufacturing environments and indoor material handling.

Loader Cranes (Knuckle Boom Cranes) Loader cranes are mounted on trucks and are typically used for loading and unloading materials. Their articulated, folding arms provide flexibility and allow them to operate in tight spaces. These cranes are commonly seen on delivery trucks or service vehicles.

Floating Cranes Floating cranes are mounted on barges or pontoons and are used in marine construction projects. They are capable of very heavy lifts and are essential for work such as dock construction, bridge building over water, and offshore installations.

Telescopic Cranes Telescopic cranes feature a boom made of multiple sections that extend or retract hydraulically. Many are mounted on trucks for easy mobility. These cranes are useful in urban environments or confined spaces where variable reach and height are required.
