Precasted Parking stops, also known as wheel stops, parking blocks, or curb stops, play an important role in parking lot design and vehicle control. They are designed to prevent vehicles from pulling too far forward into sidewalks, landscaping, or adjacent parking spaces. These stops improve safety, protect property, and help organize parking areas effectively.
How They Are Made
Typically made from Concrete, though they can also be manufactured from rubber or recycled plastic. The process begins with selecting the appropriate Concrete mix, which includes cement, aggregates, water, and sometimes Admixtures for durability or weather resistance. The mix is poured into molds shaped to standard dimensions, usually about six feet long and four to six inches high. Reinforcement materials like steel rebar or mesh may be added for extra strength.
