Clearing and preparing Land before Structures or Roads are built. Ensuring the Site is stable, and ready for construction.
What Site Prep Involves:
- Land Clearing
- Removal of vegetation: Trees, shrubs, grass, and stumps are cleared from the area.
- Debris removal: Rocks, old structures, and any surface-level obstructions are hauled away.
- Grading and Earthwork
- Excavation: Earth is moved to create a level surface or match the project’s elevation plan.
- Filling and compaction: Low spots may be filled with soil or gravel, and all areas are compacted to prevent settling.
- Soil Testing and Stabilization
- Testing: Soil is tested for load-bearing capacity, drainage, and stability.
- Improvement: If needed, soil may be treated or replaced to ensure it can support concrete slabs, foundations, or roadbeds.
- Utility and Drainage Preparation
- Trenching: Trenches are dug for water, sewer, gas, and electrical lines.
- Drainage systems: Stormwater management systems like culverts, swales, or retention basins may be installed.
- Erosion Control
- Measures such as silt fences or erosion control blankets are put in place to prevent soil erosion during construction.
- Access and Staging
- Temporary access roads and Staging areas for Materials and Equipment.
